  1. I like your videos, they are made for everyone to learn from them, particularly beginners. I believe that in flower arranging, like art…. there are no rules!!! You go with what works for each vase you are working on. People who follow strict rules are limiting themselves …. thank you for sharing your techniques, I love to see how different people work.

  2. This is one of the best over all flower arranging videos that I have seen. Good video and audio quality, good tips, good, appropriately clothed host, good set…. good everything gives a total “great” video experience. There are many crap how-to-flower videos out here on the internet. Good job folks!

  3. This technique is called Lacing, and looks fantastic with very long tall airy arrangements, rather than short squat deformed things in which the container looks like a bathtub.

  4. @americanheather
agreed. There are also several others rules that have been broken here. Flowers of the same kind should also be on different levels, so the whole arrangement has depth and looks more interesting.

  5. Loved this video – extremely helpful, thank you. Very neat way of making a grid, I’ll try that. Others seem to have an opinion on what you *should* do, however, I noticed you’ve covered flower preservation along with arrangements that show stems in your other videos.

  6. I agree with camrytoyota. You really should learn more about flowers. You never completely replace the water. By doing so you are washing away the preservative that you placed in your water. I am not saying you got it all wrong but the majority of it you did. I have been a florist for 25 years. I change with the times and believe me you are wrong. I am sorry. Not trying to be mean.

  7. you should learn more about arranging and flowers before teaching other people. there are some arrangements that the stem is a necessity. stems add line and give definite points of style.

  8. I bought her book. and met her in person. She had her own TV show on Discovery called Surprise by Design. She starreed with Robert Verdi.
