I will be moving to a place and have no back yard to plant. Right outside my door, I can put a planter and I would like to plant flowers. I would like to have color throughout the year, all 4 seasons. What are good choices in New Jersey?

What flowers and plants grow well in a place with a medium amount of sunlight?

I live in an apartment and my balcony faces north and is surrounded by big trees. It does get some sunlight but not a lot. I don’t want fake plants. What’s my best bet for plants and flowers that will survive in this condition.

what kind of flowers and plants should i get for my garden?

This is the situation, my neighbors from both sides hang their clothes in their backyard, which i think it looks very bad, specially when you have guest at home. I am planning to get plants to actually cover the entire view to my neighbors. Also i love flowers and want to get very colorful yet strong flowers that dont require much attention.
Forgot to mention that i live in miami, very humid and rains a lot. thanks

I have a flower garden approx 4′ x 20′. We have previously planted zinnias and other various flowers. We would like to plant vegetables…but every year the flowers come back. They don’t do great and look ugly. How can we get rid of them and enrich the soil to grow some vegetables.
Also what is wrong when tomato plants grow really large and have fruit, but the fruit stays green and never ripens?

what kind of flowers to plant?

i live in Nevada. I have no clue whatsoever on how to take care of a lawn let alone plant flowers but i know i want to learn being this as our first house with a backyard.
Pretty decent size i’d estimate around 25×15. The grass is totally dead (if any at all) at the moment but the owners are planning on resodding it for us.
So any tips or websites on how to care for it and what types of flowers to choose for Nevada’s climate.?? Really want something low-maintenence.

What are some flowers that bloom all year long or last a long time?

I want to make flower gardens in my yard, but I want flowers that bloom often or last a long time. I don’t like flowers that last 2 days and then they are gone.
Thanks for answering this.

I already have a flower bed in my yard and want to plant flowers. What do I do?
Filed Under Garden Landscape | 6 Comments
The flower bed is just filled up with dirt, weeds, and little pcs of rock. First I need to clean it out I guess but do I use the dirt that’s already in there or do put soil down? If you want to know, I live in Charlotte, NC (Zone 7). I want to plant perennial flowers. I’m new to gardening and want to know how prepare the flower bed, what type of soil I need (if necessary) and any tips on types of flowers to plant. Thanks alot!
